$150 CAD This necklace is part of our 2023 EARTH Collection These majestic beings traditionally symbolize good luck, nobility, wisdom, fertility, and protection. Their qualities are NUMEROUS: powerful, regal, aware, intelligent, sensitive, playful, emotional, conscious, strong, wise, resilient, intuitive, caring… This playful necklace comprises three strands of vintage “Christmas beads*”, lost wax cast beads and a gorgeous elephant! Each one of these lost wax elements are done one by one. *Christmas beads are Bright, beautifully coloured glass trade beads with an occasional plastic spacer bead. Initially made in southern Spain, Venice, and Czechoslovakia, especially for the African trade. Tribes would keep these beads as heirlooms for generations. They are now being accumulated in Nigeria and Ghana by the bead, and restrung. Vintage wood, bone, and resin carved beads from Asia and antique beads from Afghanistan (supporting families there).
