Description Balsam Fir essential oil is sourced from the northeastern part of Canada. The tree’s range extends from Newfoundland and Labrador westward through the more northernly portions of Quebec and Ontario. This oil is obtained from the needles and twigs of the Abies balsamea tree through steam distillation. It is a pale yellow liquid with a typical coniferous, fresh and fruity terpenic scent.
