General info about workshops: Workshops will provide someone with the experience of fabricating an object using some of the machinery and tools available at the shop and emotions in wood processes and jigs. Depending on the skill level and the safety concern, the person will start from : • Semi- processed components and perform the final assembly and finishing steps, like glueing a butter dish, sanding and oiling. • Raw material and perform planing, routing, cutting and sanding products. Like cutting a butter dish base, glueing a magnetic knife rack and trimming it, cutting the trim and gluing it, or cutting finger joints with an appropriate blade protection. • They may take place in one day but most often will be spread over several days in 2 to 4 hour sessions. • The result of the workshop will be a product assembled and finished, that the person will take home.
