A moose antler eagle head, carved by hand and hung on a soft moosehide lace so it can sit on your rear-view mirror. Made by Gordon Shecapio-Blacksmith in Oujé-Bougoumou, Eeyou Istchee. The eagle flies highest and carries our prayers, which is why a carving like this one is often kept close while travelling. Each piece is shaped from a single piece of antler, so the grain, the colour and the line of the beak are never quite the same twice. Tones range from bright cream through to soft grey.
