Compatible with standard outdoor fixtures and electrical boxes featuring 1/2"-14 NPSM threading or 7/8" knockout holes, it delivers reliable dusk-to-dawn control without manual intervention. OPERATION AND TECHNOLOGY This outdoor photocell sensor uses a mechanical bimetal switch paired with a cadmium sulfide (CdS) photocell. The sensor detects decreasing ambient light levels and automatically triggers the connected fixtures at nightfall.
