Saint Achillius or Achilles was the Metropolitan of Larissa in Thessaly during the 4th century and a renowned defender of the Orthodox faith. He participated in the First Council of Nicaea , where he boldly upheld the divinity of Christ against the Arian heresy, and became known for his holiness, miracles, and pastoral care of the faithful.
