Also known as Black Bells, this succulent is native to the tropical dry shrubland and rocky areas of South Africa. The stems are pale green, quadrangular and slightly furrowed. The flowers are deep maroon and star-shaped. They may repeat bloom throughout the season. The clumps of this columnar plant will gradually expand and can be divided.
