One-off, unique artwork by Thierry André. Sun, Moon, and Vibrations (Part 2) is the tying middle piece of my triptych, first initiated at the end of 2018, with the Award winning instrument- Sun, Moon, and Vibrations (Part 1) extended-body acoustic guitar creation. Carved and domed-out of beautiful hardwood Maple burl, each -Sun- & -Moon- discs are reflecting to eachother, marking relationship, commitment, time. The discs finish is anilin dye, with no varnish whatsoever ; This give the wood a surreal, soft, velvety feel recalling watercolour works, that is really seen in sculptural work. The sculpture's polarized colour scheme, form and composition, invite a simple yet pleasant push-pull shadow interplay between its circular elements, marking day, sun & moon cycles. The present -electric blue- graphic line, symbolises action, ideas, eureka moments bringing fresh, new energies. This piece is set on a massive basswood base, which is rendered polished with light reflective graphite dust. This piece is vibrant from all its 4 sides.
