Description Thuja plicata is an essential oil sourced from the northwestern part of Canada along the Pacific Coast. This oil is obtained from the needles and twigs of the Western Red Cedar tree through steam distillation. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a woody and aromatic scent.
